Our little hero was found on a beach in a weakened state at the beginning of December. Not even two days old, lost due to the storm, without its mother. Thanks to the excellent care of Ecomare, he grew up to become a strong, healthy young seal.
Every week, we received photos and videos of the little seal to keep us up to date with how he was developing.
The first day of spring, 21 March, marked the start of a new chapter in our BÈTA seal’s life: back to sea! With the whole team, we gave him a warm send-off. Sjoerd and Vincent set him free and, without hesitating, he galumphed to freedom, towards a wonderful life in nature.
