Dirt and debris have a way of gradually sneaking into the circulation systems of heating and cooling installations. Oxygen entrapment in combination with heightened temperatures causes steel components to oxidise, which leads to fine rust particles and magnetite ending up in the cooling or heating water, making it turn brown or even black.
These contaminants form deposits in the piping and adhere to pumps and heat exchangers.
Without purification of the cooling and heating water, the system will ultimately get damaged, clog up and wear more rapidly. As a result, the system will have a shorter service life, higher operating costs and be prone to spontaneous outages.

A bypass filter filters a small part of the total flow on a continuous basis. This keeps floating particles out of the circuit and the system clean and performing optimally. In most cases, filtering 5% to 10% of the main flow is enough to keep the complete heating and cooling system clean for the long term.
